When I met Jason I told myself OVER and OVER I would not become one of "those" girls who likes a certain football team just because the boy does... Well, I HAVE BECOME THAT GIRL. I am a sold out University of Miami fan... Oh yes. I now own T-shits, jerseys, books... Yep, I am one of them.I must explain the real reasons for my new found "Hurricane" love. A few weeks ago Jason sent me an article about the head coach Randy Shannon. As I sat in a crowded downtown courthouse, I read this mans story and was so impressed. In today's society we don't hear about stories of people (sport figures) who have overcome major odds and are now making an impact on the lives of young people. Instead, the headlines are more about the bad boys, steroid users and adulterers.
Then there is Jacory Harris... What can I say other than I have a crush on this kid. One of the top quarterback prospects in the state of Florida, Jacory led his team to the Class 6A state championship as a junior in high school. At 6'4, 171 pd., Jacory is 100% STUD. His confidence and charisma are prevalent on and off the football field. In a recent post game interview, Jacory was asked about a few of his teammates and his answers showed me that this young quarterback is not only a leader, but a team player. I say to everyone... Watch this kid... He will be a household name, soon!!!
And the let me mention just some of the other GREAT Hurricanes....from Javarris James, Aldarius Johnson, Lee Chambers, Ray Ray Armstrong, to Jimmy Graham, Orlando Franklin, and Matt Bosher... you put these guys on a field and they are a force to be reconded with. So, if you are not yet a U fan... Take my advise... become one... They are a great team and make my Saturdays much more eventful!
